1998

• Commerzbank AG becomes main shareholder

1999

• The four leading private banks become shareholders of TC TrustCenter (Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank, Commerzbank and Hypo and Vereinsbank (HVB))

2001

• TC TrustCenter is changed into an AG and is accredited according to the German Digital Signature Act

2004

• TC TrustCenter is acquired by Betrusted
• Cybertrust is formed by the merger of Betrusted and Trusecure

2005

• TC TrustCenter AG becomes TC TrustCenter GmbH
• TC TrustCenter is purchased by GeoTrust

2006

• GeoTrust is purchased by VeriSign
• ChosenSecurity, Inc. is launched in the US, and TC TrustCenter is the foundation of its technology platform

• Launches World’s 1st On-Demand PKI Platform, TC TRUSTCENTER™, with On-Demand PKI services provided via a Security as a Service delivery model
