John Adams
CTO

John has more than 30 years experience in information technology, primarily in the areas of networking and security.   He has had extensive experience in the development of hardware and software products, as well as the development of managed services.   As CTO of ChosenSecurity, John is responsible for helping set the technical direction of the company.

Prior to ChosenSecurity, John was the EVP of Engineering and Operations for GeoTrust.   In this role he was responsible for the specification, development, and operation, of GeoTrust’s managed service offering.   Prior to this, John served as GeoTrust’s Chef Technical Officer.

Prior to GeoTrust John worked at RSA Security as their Senior VP of Engineering, and later as their Chief Technical Officer.   Before that he spent twenty years with Digital Equipment Corporation, primarily in the area of networks and communications.   While at Digital, he managed both hardware and software development groups within network engineering, and before that was responsible for the development of Digital’s network strategy.

John graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Mathematics, and also holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from Tufts University, and a Ph. D. in Civil Engineering from MIT.
