Enterprise ID AutoEnrollment

Automated Certificate Rollouts in Windows Environment

ChosenSecurity's Enterprise ID AutoEnrollment provides the ability to automatically rollout PKI credentials (certificates) in Windows environments. The platform leverages the vendor's own managed certificate authority (CA) infrastructure, in combination with a server that is deployed on the customer's network (on Windows 2003 Enterprise) and communicates with the vendor's infrastructure via SSL communications. Client machines are required to be running Windows XP or later.

The product is based on the Microsoft Windows AutoEnrollment protocol, and allows administrators to create and distribute digital certificates to their end users from a central location; no additional client software or user registration is required for the process. Certificates can be issued individually or in groups, and are created by leveraging existing Active Directory information for the user. Group deployments can be facilitated using certificate templates, and the administrator can elect to notify the user when the certificate installation takes place, or perform a silent install.

The vendor notes compatibility with multiple Windows applications, including Internet Explorer for SSL client authentication, SSL server authentication with IIS, E-mail signing and encryption with Outlook, document signing with MS Office, Windows Domain Controller authentication, and more. Additionally, the platform supports any CSP; including those that are smart card and USB token based.

Enterprise ID AutoEnrollment is part of the vendor's Enterprise ID product family, which also includes Enterprise ID Web (a Web-based point-and-click platform for the requesting, issuing, and revoking of certificates), and Enterprise ID SmartCard Manager (for the management and maintenance of smart cards and other hardware tokens, including a Secure Key Restore feature).

Enterprise ID AutoEnrollment is available now. Pricing is as follows: Set-up fee: $39,000; Annual Hosting: $22,500; Server License: $6,500; and annual server maintenance and support: $2,200. Additionally, end user certificate costs (based on three certificates per user) start at $7,000 for 500 users, with volume discounts available.

Contact the vendor for further information.
