My Certificate is your digital ID for Microsoft's Office Suite and the Internet. My Certificate enables you to generate digital signatures and exchange encrypted data. This Class 2 certificate comes with a verified e-mail address and organization on it.
With a My Certificate, you can play it safe when it comes to business use of the Internet. You can receive encrypted messages and sign e-mails electronically. The electronic signature becomes invalid in the event of content manipulation or faulty transmission on the Internet.

My Certificate is a personal certificate, which shows not only your name and your e-mail address, but also the name of the company. In other words, the certificate confirms not only your e-mail address but also, and at the same time, the association of the certificate holder with the company. As a result, your e-mails are also clearly distinguished from SPAM or phishing e-mails.

Certificate Registration and Issuance
It's easy to apply for My Certificate online. After your successful application, you will receive an e-mail containing detailed instructions about the documents that will be needed for verification. As soon as we have received and checked all the documents, we will issue the My Certificate. You will then receive this via e-mail, along with information about how to proceed with the installation of your certificate. You will be notified before the certificate's period of validity expires, so that you can apply for a follow-up certificate in good time.
Please Note: To enroll online for a certificate it is required to generate a key pair on your PC locally. Therefore, please set browser options to allow ActiveX controls. Online enrollment is supported currently by any operating system except VISTA. VISTA will be supported by the end of 2007.

Single My Certificates are payable by Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Checks and purchase orders are not accepted.
