This certificate with a low trust level is intended as an entry-level option to secure Internet communication. Your certificate will be issued typically within 24 hours upon a successful verification check, and you can collect it online and easily integrate it into your browser.

You will be notified by e-mail before your certificate expires, so you can apply for a new certificate in time.

 

Please Note: to enroll online for a certificate it is required to generate a key pair on your PC locally. Therefore, set browser options to allow ActiveX controls (MS Internet Explorer only) as well as JavaScript enabled.

Please note that in the case of an application for TC Personal ID, we only check the accuracy of the specified e-mail address which may take up to 24 hours. The TC Personal ID is ideal for users who want to take their first steps on the way to secure Internet communication, and who want to try using encrypted e-mail. (Note: All email recipients are required to have digital certificates in order to exchange encrypted email) In the case of TC Personal ID, there are minimal requirements in terms of proof of identity.

Note: If you intend to use this certificate with Microsoft products (i.e. Outlook, Office), make sure you use Internet Explorer to request the certificate. Otherwise, you will need to export the certificate from the other browser into Internet Explorer after receiving it.
